Alliance Française de Dubai

Alliance-Francaise

Alliance Française Dubai promotes French culture and language.
It was established in 1982 in Dubai.
The Institute teaches French to more than 2,500 students each year, and organizes more than 50 cultural and social events per year.

Alliance Française Dubai is a non-profit organization, which is under the jurisdiction of the General Consulate of France and is part of the French cultural network in Dubai and the UAE.

The first Alliance Française was founded in Paris in 1883 by Paul Cambon, eminent French statesman, and Pierre Foncin, a noted geographer.
Illustrious French personalities, such as writer Jules Verne, scientist Louis Pasteur, and Ferdinand de Lesseps, developer of the Suez Canal, were involved with the Institute from the beginning.
